New pub venture by Yorkshire chefs
Today sees the opening of a contemporary new pub venue in a lovely Pennine village. 1885 The Pub is the new venture by chefs and brothers Nathan Matthew Evans in the Yorkshire village of Stainland, near Halifax and offers a relaxing all day environment, whether for morning coffees, family lunches, a drink after work, or an evening meal.
Food includes breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, cakes and light snacks to hearty pub favourites, all brought to you with the style that has made 1885 The Restaurant successful. I had the pleasure of travelling to the hilly Pennine location to produce interior photographs of the pub in the short gap between the joiners and decorators finishing and the official opening. As it will be open all day seven days a week, there will be no opportunity to photograph it again without getting in the way of customers.
The exterior and interior of the pub, which is situated next door to 1885 The Restaurant, has been totally renovated and refurbished in a contemporary style that blends fresh modern decor and oak finishes with traditional pub elements including stone flagged floors and a wood burning stove.
The south facing beer garden is to be refurbished and beer lovers have a choice of traditional Yorkshire ales. Having photographed food for Matthew and Nathan before as well as photographing the restaurant and in the kitchens, it was a pleasure to go back and work in the contemporary new environment they have created.
It just remains to go back and sample the menu! To see more go to 1885 The Pub
